NewSocial is run by GIS Analytics Limited. This page says what we hold about you, why we hold it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible.

We do not track you. There is no analytics on this site, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no third party scripts watching what you do. We have never sold anyone's data and we are not going to.

Who we are

GIS Analytics Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, number 15093879, at 25 Thornhill Bridge Wharf, Caledonian Road, London N1 0RU. We are the data controller for everything described here. Write to contact@gisanalytics.uk about anything on this page and a person will answer.

What we hold, and why

WhatWhy we have it
Your email address It identifies your account, it is how your payment finds your subscription, and it is where the newsletter goes.
Your password Held by Amazon Cognito, not by us. We never see it and cannot recover it. If you sign in with Google we hold no password at all.
What your organisation is and does The name, type, country, regions and themes you enter. Every funding call is scored against this. Without it the product cannot work.
Your shortlist, stages and notes So your colleagues can see what you are bidding on. Everyone in your organisation sees these.
Feedback you leave on a score To make the scoring better. Only you see your own feedback.
Whether you have paid, and for which plan To open your account. We never see or store your card details. Those go to Revolut and stay there.
An email address left for the free weekly list Only to send that email. Nothing else, and never passed on.

What we do with it

We use it to run the service you have asked for, which is our lawful basis for almost everything above. The free weekly list runs on your consent, given by typing your address into the form, and you can withdraw it from the bottom of any of those emails.

Our scoring uses AI to read the funders' published pages, not yours. No information about you or your organisation is sent to a model to be trained on, and your profile is never used to improve anything except your own scores.

Who else is involved

Only the companies that make the thing run, and only for that purpose.

All of these sit in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Cookies

We set no cookies. Signing in stores a token in your own browser so you stay signed in, and the pricing page remembers which plan you picked. Both live on your device, neither is sent anywhere except to prove who you are, and clearing your browser data removes them.

How long we keep it

Your account and its contents stay while you have an account, and for twelve months afterwards in case you come back. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will. Addresses on the free weekly list are kept until you unsubscribe. Payment records are kept for six years, because HMRC requires it.

What you can ask for

A copy of everything we hold about you. A correction. Deletion. A machine readable export. Or that we stop doing something. Email contact@gisanalytics.uk and we will do it within a month, usually much sooner. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult.

If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will email everyone with an account rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
